Privacy Policy

CoveLink is designed to handle zero data on our servers. The desktop daemon and Android app communicate directly over your local Wi-Fi network. We do not operate any relay servers, do not require an account, and do not collect or store any of your personal data - notifications, messages, clipboard, files, or call information - on any bazzaztech infrastructure.

The following data is processed locally on your devices and is never transmitted to bazzaztech:

• Notification content - titles, bodies, and app names stay on your LAN.
• SMS and MMS content - message bodies and contact information.
• Clipboard content - text you sync between phone and desktop.
• Files - files transferred between phone and desktop.
• Call metadata - caller name, number, and call duration.
• Media playback state - app name, track title, artist.
• Device identifiers - device IDs are generated locally and used only for pairing on your LAN.
• Location - CoveLink does not access or request location data.

The desktop daemon stores two configuration files on your machine:

• config.json - device name, hub port, web port, and a locally generated Curve25519 keypair. Never transmitted off-device.
• trust.json - the device IDs, names, and public keys of paired phones. Never transmitted off-device.

The Android app stores the pairing record (desktop device ID, name, IP address, and public key) in Android's EncryptedSharedPreferences. This data is local to your device and is not backed up to Google Drive by default.

CoveLink for Windows and macOS requires a one-time paid license. Purchases are processed by Paddle (paddle.com/legal/privacy), our payment processor. When you purchase a license, Paddle receives your name, email address, payment details, and billing country. bazzaztech receives a confirmation of purchase and the email address to deliver your license key.

We retain purchase records (email + license key hash) for customer support and fraud prevention. Payment card data is never stored by bazzaztech.

CoveLink for Linux is free and does not require any payment or account.

The CoveLink Android app requests the following permissions. All data accessed via these permissions is used solely to deliver app functionality and stays on your local network:

• Notification access (NOTIFICATION_LISTENER_SERVICE) - to mirror phone notifications to your desktop.
• READ_SMS, SEND_SMS, RECEIVE_SMS - to read and send text messages from your desktop.
• READ_PHONE_STATE, ANSWER_PHONE_CALLS - to display incoming calls on your desktop and allow answer/decline.
• CAMERA - to scan the desktop QR code during pairing. Not used after pairing.
• FOREGROUND_SERVICE - to keep the connection active in the background.
• RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETED - to start the connection service automatically after device reboot.

All permissions use is disclosed in the Google Play Store listing.

This website is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. As part of serving web pages, Cloudflare may log standard request data (IP address, browser type, pages visited, timestamps). This is governed by Cloudflare's privacy policy.

We do not set any first-party cookies. We do not use Google Analytics or any other analytics platform. No external fonts or scripts are loaded.

CoveLink is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of CoveLink after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
